Impressive Examples of CYBERTRON Applications

The compact rotary swivel unit is an interesting example of the development of kinematic systems, mainly because these units are capable not only of rotating objects and measuring modules, but can also pivot at an angle. This means undercuts can be accessed. The z-axis moves the object or measuring module up and down.
The following example shows a robot-based handling system for Petri dishes. By means of a barcode scanner and sophisticated sensor technology, Petri dishes are detected and distributed by a robotic arm into surrounding devices fully automatically. Insufficiently labeled Petri dishes are also automatically sorted out into the higher-level magazine system. In this example, a machine performs processes on slides, of which several can be placed on a special tray. The loaded tray is automatically conveyed into the instrument and transported to one of four stations. Each station has the capability to lift up the slide. After processing, the slides are automatically returned to the tray, and the tray is either conveyed to another station by the transport system, or is ejected. Very interesting is the tube handling. A tiny robot takes out tubes from a rack and passes them to a gantry system. After use of the tubes the small robot places them back into the rack. One rack holds 50 tubes.
Coating of tubes
In the further example video you will see a filling line for automatic coating of tubes. In specially tailored trays, up to 500 test tubes are processed. In a stacker system, up to 5 of these trays can be stationed in the unit to be fully automatically filled or emptied. Based on the proven kinematic axle systems of Cybertron, 10 tubes are dosed or aspirated at the same time.
Mini-Pipetting Modules – Compact and Multi-functional
The CYBERTRON Mini-Pipetting module has proven its worth many times over. It combines compact dimensions with numerous functions, for sample preparation, sample delivery, and connection to analysis systems. In the example shown, a 384 MTP is loaded with samples from a storage unit. The automated tip loader and tip ejector prevent any cross contamination. Optional camera systems or detectors can be mounted below the MTP.

Cybertron develops individual automatic dosing and filling systems for almost every type of vessel that is used in laboratory. The devices are handled by our specially developed touch screen control system, so called IQ4400. The device as shown is able to fill every type of flask, tube, 24-96 microtiter and deep well plate etc. The dispensing head can be equipped with 1 to 8 needles or disposable tips. With the use of multichannel valves it is possible to fill up up to 8 reagents individually in µL to mL range. Depending on tolerance and setup there are different pump variants available (see also Piston Pump KK30).
Optionally it is also possible to drain the vessels (washer). With its geometry and its number of positions it is possible to adjust the working deck individual depending on the labour conditions. To increase the capacity we equip the filling systems with our individual systems for storage, deposition and transfer.
