CYBERTRON Motor and Instrument Controllers

Device Control IQ5500

All features and expertise from decades of experience are summarized in our newly developed motor and device control IQ5500. In addition to the modular upgradability of up to four 1K_Booster (servo or Peltier amplifiers) it combines a reasonably chosen selection of analog and digital interfaces. An optional 5" color display with touch screen fulfills all operator wishes. An absolute advantage is the simple and powerful script language for programming. A programming language that leads to impressive results in just a short time. What else has to offer the motor and device control of CYBERTRON GmbH? Read for yourself!

The IQ5500 represents the latest development in our motor controllers currently in use. Operation and comfort is tailored to the needs of our customers from the device development and from the laboratory. Stand alone devices can be programmed in high speed, with or without a PC in the script language. Due to the fact that the actual application should be implemented and programmed without information deficits, this control requires no trained programmers.

Motion / Task Management Tool from CYBERTRON with numerous technical refinements

Core of the motor and device control is a PIC32 clocked at 120 MHz on which the scripts are running. The powerful floating point arithmetic in combination with a variety of digital and analog inputs and outputs, it allows to control complex device peripherals conveniently. With the optional 5" color touch screen there are animated graphical buttons, sliders, scroll bars and LEDs. Powerful touch screen commands and functions for lines, circles, rectangles, and various fonts and text sizes are available.

The IQ5500 electronic board can accommodate four servo, stepper or Peltier controller (1K Booster) and therefore cost-adjusted and flexible to the actual task, for e.g. enabling combination of e.g. servo- and stepper motors with additional Peltier temperature control.

The 1K boosters are the core components of servo motor and Peltier control. They are operated by a Xmega microcontroller from Atmel and PWM output stages with a PWM frequency of 20 kHz, a rated current of 4 A and a peak current of 6A. Based on the comprehensive instruction set, there are among others also many possibilities to influencing regulation and monitoring.
